The first Raising Cane’s Senior Spotlight of 2023 shines brightly upon punter / place kicker No. 1 Abram Murray. Murray finished the 2022 season 3-for-7 on field goal attempts. He was 48-of-50 on extra-point kicks. Forty-eight of his 64 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks with opponents average starting field position at the 21-yard -line. He scored 57 points on the season. Murray punted 24 times and averaged 41.6 yards per punt. He had four fair catches and eight punts downed inside the 20. He had two punts over 60 yards – 66 & 63 in the playoff game against John Curtis. A University of Miami commit, Murray was a First-Team All-District, All-City and All-Metro selection as a punter.
