Scholarship Opportunities

The Southern Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2026-2027 Scholarship application is now open. These scholarships are specifically designed to support students attending Southern University A&M, Southern University New Orleans, and Southern University Shreveport. Information can be found at foundation.sus.edu/apply-for-scholarships/ or the Class of 2026 Canvas page. The application closes January 5, 2026. 

 

The Reynolds Foundation Scholarship is available in the Counseling Office or the Class of 2026 Canvas page.  Students must be current seniors and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 gpa. Deadline to apply is January 31, 2026.

 

Each year, the Ark-La-Tex chapter of AFCEA and its members sponsor STEM scholarships and grants for local students and teachers. If you plan to pursue STEM education after high school, please complete the application available in the Counseling Office or Class of 2026 Canvas page deadline is February 1, 2026.

 

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Louisiana State Court Scholarship is available in the Counseling Office or the Class of 2026 Canvas page. Requirements are as follows:

Applicants (male or female) must have resided in Louisiana at least one year prior to graduation.2.5 grade point average. Turn in applications and other supporting documents to Ms. Miles in room 111 by 4pm on December 15. 

 

On Monday, January 19, 2026, during the Krewe of Harambee’s Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Hopes and Dreams Breakfast, college or technical school scholarships will be awarded to eligible African-American high school seniors. Requirements to apply for this scholarship are listed below.

  • The student must be from a single-parent home.
  • Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Submit an essay entitled, “How I Made It Against all Odds.
  • Include a transcript with the first 9 weeks grades.

 

Elks Student of the month scholarship applications are available in the counseling office or the Class of 2026 Canvas page. Each month (September-April) a scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding senior boy and senior girl who demonstrate exemplary standards. Students should be well-rounded with leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship qualities. Students will compete against other high school students in Caddo-Bossier area. Applications are due by the 1st of each month and only need to be submitted once.
