PTSAByrdBlastByrd High School, PTSA Byrd Blast

Baseball tryouts will be December 15th at 5pm at the LSUS baseball field. Sign ups are outside room 221. Participates must have an updated physical to try out.

 

Drama Club is performing at the Heritage Manor Stratmore on December 20th at 2pm and there is a sign up sheet outside of  Room 200 and we will have some rehearsals next week.

The Science National Honor Society is accepting abstracts for the 7th annual Mendeleevian Society Symposium:  Artificial Intelligence:  Bridging the Gap Between Imagination and Reality.  To join the Canvas Page and submit an abstract scan the QR code on your Canvas page or stop by room 209 for a copy of the QR code.  Also, for questions regarding this opportunity see Mrs. Comerford.

 

All Youth and Government members need to pick up their club T-shirt from S306 BEFORE leaving for Christmas break.

 

Attention 9th graders, Byrd 9th graders will have a private tour of Caddo Career & Technology Center on January 12th from 9-10 am. Pick up a permission slip in the counseling office. The permission slips are due December 15th.

 

Community Service Diploma Endorsement: Students who have completed 80 hours of community service in grades 9-12 can receive a community service diploma endorsement. Seniors need to complete the student documentation form(s) and return to Mrs. Byrd in the counseling office by January 9. They must be signed by the person verifying the community service activity.

Need help with math?  Preparing for the ACT? Or maybe just need help finishing that homework assignment that is due? Science National Honor Society is offering free tutoring on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the library from 7:45-8:15.  All you have to do is show up!  there will be two people on hand that can help you with whatever you are working on.  Please see Mrs. Comerford in 211 with any questions.
