After the Labor Day weekend, Caddo Parish Schools and Ochsner LSU Health will begin COVID-19 testing in all Caddo Parish Schools. Tests are strictly voluntary! This particular test is a non-invasive test that will be administered in the presence of trained personnel. 

Test results will be available 24 to 48 hours after the test is administered. Parents of students that test positive will be notified directly. 

By testing, we help reduce the risk of infection in our students and staff. School staff is also being tested. 

Students can test once a week. Students that choose to test will be paid $25 for the first test and $10 per test for each test thereafter. Students will be paid with a debit card, once monthly. 

Students must have parental consent to test. The link to register is listed below. Byrd High School will also continue to provide the opportunity for students to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination. Our next vaccination date is Friday, September 10th. Students that received their first vaccination on August 27th will receive their second dose on this date as well.
