Byrd continues exploding across District 1-5A and accumulated a dominating victory over Airline Friday night at Independence Stadium.

The Jackets rolled 49-28 after getting four touchdowns from William Berry covering 8, 11, 14 and 20 yards. Byrd (6-0) also had scores from Campbell Brown (15-yard fumble return), Venzell Thompson (3-yard run) and Mitchell Ramsey (50-yard kickoff return).

The Vikings (2-2), playing for the first time after two weeks of quarantine, made a late run behind quarterback Alex Garcia. He passed for three touchdowns, including two to Devin Bilbo (12 and 35 yards) and one to Jamall Asberry (9 yards). Asberry also had a scoring run of 31 yards.
