Seniors – Graduate Sales will be here TOMORROW to take orders for your cap and gown if you haven’t already placed your order.  Mr. Young will be here FOR STUDENTS ONLY during lunch down by the café.  Cash or credit/debit card deposit of $100 will be required.

Juniors – Junior Ring Ceremony is just a few weeks away.  Due to covid restrictions, there will be 2 ceremonies – One on Tuesday, May 18 and the other on Wed. May 19.  Get together with your friends and decide which night you want to participate, then go to locallevelevents and sign up.  There is a $10.00 participation fee which gets you 2 tickets for your guests.  Sign-up is Thursday, April 1 – Friday, April 23.

Seniors – It’s time to start working on the senior slideshow! Please send up to three pictures that represent your high school career. Make sure pictures are clear and school-appropriate. No baby pictures!  You may submit three pictures to byrdseniorclass@gmail.com before April 22nd.

Volleyball Tryouts – Freshmen tryouts will be May 12^th from 5:00-7:00 pm.  Upper Classmen tryouts will be May 13^th and 14^th from 5:00-7:00 pm. Seniors – Reminder – You can begin purchasing honor graduate cords and Math/Science Magnet stoles and Honor cords in the Counseling Office between classes, or during lunch. You must have exact change and cash only (no checks) Honor graduate cords $10 and Math/Science Magnet stoles $16. These are the same cords and stoles we have used in the past, so if you had a sibling graduate within the past 10 years, you can use the same ones if you choose. If you are a member of NHS, you can wear both the NHS stole and Magnet stole if you choose. They are different styles, so they can be worn together. You can also pay online and pick up your stole in the Counseling Office. Seniors – Please begin submitting your college acceptance letters and scholarship offers to Mrs. Byrd in the Counseling Office. We are requesting you submit only the college acceptance letter for the school you plan to attend, but will accept all scholarship offers you have received, even if you do not plan to accept them. You can bring a copy, e-mail asbyrd@caddoschools.org, or submit through the google form on the Class of 2021 Canvas page.

2021 We the Students Essay Contest is available at https://billofrightsinstitute.org/we-the-students-essay-contest Essay Prompt “What is the relationship between Equality and Justice?” 1^st Place prize is $7,500. The deadline is TOMORROW.

Volunteer Opportunities:

9^th, 10^th, and 11^th Grade Astra Club – Two schools have offered us the opportunity to work at their field days.  They are First Baptist and University.  To work the First Baptist Field Day, you must have attended First Baptist.  All students must have passing grades.  Sign up with Mrs. Prothro or email her at MProthro@caddoschools.org.  You must provide your own transportation.
