In honor of National School Counseling Week (February 2–6, 2026), we celebrate the dedicated professionals at C. E. Byrd High School who embody this year’s theme: “School Counselors Amplify Student Success.”

Our four incredible counselors are the heart of the “City of Byrd,” working tirelessly to turn up the volume on every student’s potential:

Mrs. Megan Allen (9th Grade): For setting the tone and guiding our newest Jackets as they begin their high school journey.

Dr. Jerushka Ellis-Holliday (10th Grade ): For her expertise in navigating the complexities of the sophomore year.

Mrs. Tamiko Lacy (11th Grade): For being a steadfast advocate for our juniors as they tackle their most pivotal academic year.

Mrs. Amanda Byrd (12th Grade): For empowering our seniors to reach the finish line and preparing them for life beyond the purple and gold.

These educators do more than schedule classes; they provide the essential support that allows our students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We invite all students, teachers, and parents to show these amazing women some love this week.
