Students – Student Council Week will be April 4 through 8 so we will be having dress-up days. Teachers, please join in, too! Monday – Groutfit Day (Wear an all gray outfit – apparently it’s a TikTok trend?!?) • Tuesday – USA Day (Wear your best Red, White, and Blue) • Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday • Thursday – Seniors are senior citizens, underclassmen are children/babies (Faculty – Feel free to choose either if you want to dress up!) • Friday – Future Friday (Students are supposed to dress for the career they want) (Teachers – maybe what you wanted to be as a child?!)

KByrd auditions for next year will be held next TOMORROW and Wednesday at 4 pm in S307. You must scan one of the QR codes in the hallways to apply and sign up for an interview date. You will not be able to interview if you haven’t filled out the application. See Mrs. Smith if you have questions.

Contest – CADA: Essay Contest for all high school students. Topic: Living my Best Life Things I Do to Deal with Stress. Deadline TOMORROW. CLICK HERE for rules and info.

Seniors – There will be a meeting of all the seniors during EIP on TOMORROW, in the auditorium.

Astra Club Members – Mrs. Prothro needs volunteers to help with the Community Renewals Croquet Classic on Wednesday, April 27, Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30.  Sign up in Mrs. Prothro’s office by Thursday, April 14.  You may not miss an EOC test or any other test or project.

College Visit – University of Arkansas, 4/11

Juniors who took the PSAT – We will administer the SAT to those juniors who took the PSAT in October. The SAT will be given Wednesday, April 13, at no cost to students. Students must see Mrs. Byrd or Mrs. Lacy in the Counseling Office to pick up the paperwork.

StudentsProm will be held on Saturday, April 23, at Byrd High School from 7:00 until 11:00 pm. You may NOT purchase tickets if you are on the debt list.  All debts must be paid by Monday, April 4.

Students – If you are interested in joining High Life, please come to room S301 to pick up an application.

Seniors – Please submit up to THREE pictures for the Senior Slideshow on the last day of school. The deadline for picture submission is April 26. Send your pictures together in one email to byrdseniorclass@gmail.com. Pictures are best when they are high school pictures – 9th through 12th grade – and when they are group pictures. Please DO NOT submit baby pictures! Pictures should be school appropriate, or they will not be in the slideshow.

Seniors – Did you attend University Elementary?  If so, please see Mrs. Prothro.  They have asked you to come to their 5th-grade celebration on April 22.  You will be excused from school.

Astra Club – If you attended Shreve Island or have a parent who works there, and you would like to volunteer to work at their Field Day on May 6 please see Mrs. Prothro.

Fairfield Elementary Magnet Alumni Senior Class of 2022 – There will be a 5th-grade class reunion for students and teachers on Fairfield Magnet school grounds on Friday, May 6 from 3:30-5:30 pm.  We will celebrate with pizza and cupcakes. Then we will reminisce by looking through old yearbooks and by watching our 5th grade DVD @ 5:00.  We know this is an extremely busy time of year, but we hope everyone can make it for a few moments of fun!

Astra Club – 9-11 Grades: If you would like to volunteer at Judson Elementary Field Day on Friday, May 6, please see Mrs. Prothro to sign up.

Girl Up – We need all members of Girl Up to bring a donation of one package of diapers or one package of feminine products to the girls locker room. We will be conducting a drive for the local Women’s organization Bare Necessities.  Each Box or package will count 1 service hour. You need to turn in donations to Mrs Levermann in the girls’ locker room or if you turn into the 3rd floor science building area you must notify Gracie or Diamond on the Girl up remind so we can keep up with service hours. You can pick up your service hour sheets in the girls’ locker room.

Z-Club is collecting items to benefit Project Celebration’s shelter for women and children. Please drop off items in S206 or S111. Items needed: activities for adult women while in shelter (like coloring books, colored pencils, workbooks, journals, playing cards, etc.), enrichment/sensory items or toys for children, pillows for beds, small trash cans for bathrooms, wall plug in air fresheners , -razors for shaving, -craft supplies/hobby supplies and storage for these items, -gift cards for Walmart or other stores, queen sized sheets and comforters  ($5 = 1 hour, 5 hours max).
