Seniors – If you are interested in participating in the Senior Ring Ceremony, please go by Room S105 or the main office to pick up an information sheet regarding requirements and cost.

ACTTomorrow the statewide ACT will be given to all 11th grade students.  Seniors with an ACT composite score of 20 or below may also test on that day.  Tenth grade students will take the PreACT.  Testing will take place on campus.  Students do not need to register; all 11th grade students and all eligible seniors will be scheduled to test.  Each 11th and 12th grade student taking ACT State/District will need a MyACT account to complete non-test information. Before this can be done, each student must receive their personal student code.  Student codes are being distributed in English classes. Non-test information must be completed no later than 2 days after testing, March 11th. All students testing will fill in demographic information on their answer sheets on test day.  A part of that information is the student’s mailing address.  It is important that students know their correct mailing address.  If this information is left blank on the answer sheet, ACT will not score the answer sheet.  Contact Mrs. Eason in the counseling office if you have questions.

StuCo Elections – Student Council Intent-to-Run for Office forms for the 2021-2022 school year are available in room 202. Intent-to-Run forms are due by Wednesday. Campaign Week is March 22nd through March 26th, and elections will be the week of March 29th.  Only students who want to hold officer positions need to pick up a packet. Members-at-large will fill out applications in April.

Renaissance will be held during both lunch shifts on Thursday.  Please look for the list in your classroom.

National Society of Black EngineersTOMORROW The National Society of Black Engineers is hosting an event where high school students will have the opportunity to learn about being an engineering student and various career opportunities in engineering. The main purpose of the event is to expose students to the field of engineering by giving attendees the opportunity to talk to current NSBE college students and young professionals. This will also be an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about NSBE and the wonderful support system that the organization offers. CLICK HERE for the flyer.
