Dual Enrollment – Dual enrollment applications are now available for LSUS Spring semester. Students in the following courses can apply: AP Biology- Wrobel, Human Anatomy or Medical Terminology next semester- White, Fine Arts Survey, Advanced Math- Sermons, PreCalculus, Statistics, and AP Calculus- Algood only, Physics Honors and AP Physics- Jefferson. Instructions are available on the Class of 2021 or Class of 2022 Counseling pages. Please read the information carefully and complete all required steps. Juniors – It’s not too late to order your class ring.  You can order your ring online at www.balfour.com  Ring order packets are available in room S-105 or the main office. Call or text Graduate Sales 318-549-0082 with any specific questions.

Senior Graduation Information – Due to the many restrictions placed on visitors this year, ordering your graduation supplies is now being handled online or in person at Graduate Sales, 3524 Youree Drive, phone 318-865-0409.  Their online website is graduatesalesyouree.com and office hours are Monday – Friday 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

Students who wish to join the 2020-2021 CE Byrd Boys and Girls Track teams or Cross Country teams, please contact Coach Plaza at jep1932@icloud.com or 318-272-1671.

Seniors – The Louisiana Department of Education will award a community service endorsement for seniors who meet the following criteria:  9th – 10 hrs, 10th – 20 hrs, 11th – 25 hrs, and 12th – 25 hrs for an 80 hr total. Forms and information are available at https://www.louisianabelieves.com/courses/diploma-endorsements. Students must return the Student Documentation Form and District/School Tracking Form to the counseling office by January 14th to receive the endorsement. See Mrs. Byrd in the counseling office if you have any questions.

Students – Any student who has 100 or more volunteer service hours from March 1, 2020, to March 1, 2021, is eligible for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.  The hours can be school-related, community activities, church activities, mission trips, etc.  Completed volunteer activity sheets must be submitted to Mrs. Prothro by Monday, March 1, 2021.  Please email Mrs. Prothro at mprothro@caddoschools.org with any questions.

C.E. Byrd’s literary magazine, Perspectives, is now accepting entries. Students are encouraged to submit their original short stories, poems, or one-act plays for consideration for publication; visual art is also welcome. The topic and format are left to your imagination! All accepted entries will be published in a hard-copy magazine in May of 2021.
